Ellen Magezi, a 27-year-old aeronautic engineer from Nakasongola, has won a once-in-a-lifetime experience to watch the FIFA World Cup live in Qatar after emerging as the overall winner of the Spend to Win card campaign by Chipper Cash.
The announcement comes on the back of the recent launch of the Chipper Card in Uganda which has already attracted a growing number of users wanting to make purchases online. Ellen, one of the lucky Chipper customers, and her partner will embark on an all-expenses-paid trip to watch two qualification World Cup matches in Qatar.
Commenting on the win, an excited Ellen said: “Traveling and sports are major passion points for me. I thank Chipper for the opportunity to travel to Qatar to experience the World Cup live.
“Once the Chipper Card was launched in Uganda, I was one of the first users because I love shopping for things online. It’s easy to shop and pay with the card,” she added.
The latest product gives Chipper customers in Uganda access to transact with a virtual Visa card, without the need for a bank account. Customers can fund the Chipper Card directly from the Chipper digital wallet and carry out international transactions requiring a card payment.
