Startup Africa Roadtrip invites applicants for this year’s innovators challenge

Startup Africa Roadtrip has opened applications for the Next Generation Africa 2021/2022 innovators challenge which is set to elevate many businesses.

Next Generation Africa 21-22 is the accelerator project for African startups, innovators, makers, and young talents who intend to develop products or services with high potential impact driving the local economy. The 20 startups selected by Startup Africa Roadtrip will be supported with a unique bootcamp week which will run from 1st to 5th, November 2021 in Kampala, Uganda.

According to organizers, the startup can be based anywhere in the African continent but its product/service must have potential application/scalability in the East African region (Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, Somalia, South Sudan).

More details indicate that the average age of the team is 25 years and the deadline for application is September 3, 2021.

This challenge targets startups in the categories of;  Sustainable economy and mobility, Healthcare, ICT & Fintech, Agribusiness and Agritech, Education, as well as Tourism & Hospitality.

Participants will enjoy a five-day  Bootcamp in Kampala,  get a possibility of participating in the Italian Roadshow among other benefits.

Other benefits include; opportunity to collaborate with experts and multinational companies, opportunity to create valuable and long-term connections, bring your startup in front of business angel investors and many others.

Startup Africa Roadtrip is a non-profit initiative launched in 2017 by BeEntrepreneurs APS to support and drive cutting edge social innovation in developing countries (initially East Africa), creating opportunities for entrepreneurial and startups ecosystem to grow locally and globally and contribute to generate self-sustaining virtuous circles.
