Express FC Sacks Coach Wasswa Bbosa

Uganda Premier League side, Express FC has sacked its head coach Wasswa Bbosa following a poor run in the league. Express had lost three of its previous games against Soltilo Bright Stars consecutively and Tooro United.

The club released a statement on Monday saying that the sacking would take immediate effect.

“Express FC would like to confirm that Wasswa Bbosa is leaving his role as Head Coach with immediate effect. The club would like to thank Wasswa Bbosa for his dedication and memories most notable of those including winning the StarTimes Uganda Premier League (2020/21) for the first time in 12 years and the CECAFA Kagame Cup, the first ever in the club’s history,” reads the statement.

John Odoch who has been Bbosa’s assistant will now take over in acting capacity until the end of the current season, and will be assisted by goalkeeper coach Daniel Kiwanuka.

Bbosa took the driving seat at Express in February 2020.

The club currently sits on 5th place with 29 points after 17 games. They are 10 points behind the table leaders.
