Busoga United Defeats Blacks Power 2-0 in Uganda Premier League

Busoga United FC has earned its win in the Uganda Premier League, after defeating their Blacks Power FC, 2-0 at Kakindu Stadium on Wednesday.

Ibrahim Kayiwa, scored Busoga United’s first goal in the fourth minute of the game.

Their win was sealed off through a penalty shootout from Franco Balabala, following a handball by Blacks Power’s Michael Osio, in the 52nd minute of the game.

Busoga United’s head coach, Paul Kiwanuka, says that today’s win is a remarkable boost to the team after last week’s loss to Maroons FC.

Kiwanuka adds that his squad is made up of young players, who are willing to adjust to the competitive form of ball display within the country’s top-flight league.

Blacks Power’s head coach, Peter Onen, says that the boys invested their best in the game and only lost following the avoidable mistakes committed in the course of the game.

Onen adds that his boys will take lessons earned from this defeat as build-up points to strengthen their team ahead of the fourth coming league games.
