UBTEB releases 2020 examination results
The Uganda Business Technical Examination Board (UBTEB) has today released examination results of 15,000 technical and business students. According to the board, the results are for the deferred 2020 examinations which were conducted this year in March.
The results were received by the State Minister for Higher Education, Dr. John Chrysestom Muyingo who represented the Minister of Education and Sports, Hon. Janet Kataaha Museveni.
According to UBTEB, the released results are of candidates who completed business certificate program, business diploma, technical national certificate, technical advanced craft and the technical community polytechnic certificate.
The UBTEB executive director, Onesmus Oyesige revealed that a total of 16,144 students had sat their examinations at 511 examination centres from March 12 to 26, this year noting that there was a slight decline in the performance.
Oyesige further said that of these candidates, a total of 4,732 were female and 11,412 were male and adding that their board is committed to ensuring quality assessment for appropriate skills development for social- economic transformation and national development.
The UBTEB executive director added that they had recommended the cancellation of results of a total of 19 candidates over engaging in examination malpractices while the results of other 17 candidates have been withheld and are expected to appear before the disciplinary committee of the board.
