Two big explosions rock Kampala
Panic and fear have rocked Kampala following two explosions that went off in the city centre on Tuesday, 16th November 2021. One bomb blast was reported near Central Police Station (CPS) Kooki Towers Level 4 and another one happened along Parliamentary Avenue at Jubilee Insurance building.
It is suspected that some people could have lost their lives but there is no specific number of casualties reported, yet.
Some lawmakers were seen evacuating the parliamentary building near Jubilee Insurance where the second explosion happened, according to Uganda’s national broadcaster UBC.
A video posted online showed a plume of white smoke rising from the blast scene near the police station.
The Police have not yet officially communicated about the matter but the explosions are suspected to be another round of terror attacks.
