State House Anti-Corruption Unit detains court clerk over Shs150,000 bribe

A court clerk has been arrested by the State House Anti-Corruption Unit for soliciting a bribe of Shs150,000.

The Anti-Corruption Unit in collaboration with the Uganda police on Friday detained Anyou Ngolobe Vincent, a court clerk at Nabweru chief magistrates court for allegedly taking a bribe in exchange for assistance to secure an eviction order.

The suspect has today been paraded before the Anti-Corruption court and he pleaded not guilty.

The court has remanded the suspect to Kitalya prison until August 18, 2021.
