The Inspector General of Police, Martin Okoth Ochola, has re-appointed Patrick Onyango as Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson in the new police shakeup.
Onyago occupied the office before being sent for a training course that has been ongoing for the past one year.
Other changes include switching the spokesperson of Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) Charles Twine, who has been appointed the officer-in-charge of Parliament investigations.
Dennis Tumuhimbise has been appointed Deputy CID director. Katto Ahimbisbwe who has been occupying the same position has been appointed head of Anti-Money Laundering Taskforce.
Bernard Muhumuza has been appointed head anti-narcotics department, replacing Superintendent of Police Tinka Zarugaba.
The reshuffle has close to 300 officers transferred to different positions and stations.
