On Monday, the National Unity Platform met to select a flag bearer to represent the party in the Omoro County Member of Parliament by-elections.
According to communiqué by the party, five members expressed interest in carrying the flag. They include; Alison Ramto Flavia, Kizza Oscar, Ochola Charles, Simon Toolit Akecha, and Secondo Okoth Abok.
The five were vetted at the party secretariat in Kamwokya and their names have been forwarded to the Party’s Executive Board for consideration, and eventual unveiling of the successful candidate.
The Omoro MP seat fell vacant after the passing of former Speaker of Parliament, Jacob Oulanyah. The National Resistance Movement is fronting Oulanyah’s son, Andrew Oulanyah for the seat.
