NIRA head offices closed till Monday
The management of the National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) has announced that it will close their head offices located at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds, to the public for two days. This is because the grounds have been set to host two major national events on Thursday 19th and Friday 20th August, 2021.
According to NIRA, all client-related services will be temporarily shifted to their other offices in the five divisions of Kampala during the affected days.
“The technical staff at the Kololo office will be deployed to the various division offices to support operations there accordingly,” NIRA said in a statement.
The public has therefore been advised to access services such as National Identification (NID) including registration and issuance of cards , birth and death registration services like; dropping off farms and picking completed certificates through their respective division offices in Kampala.
The public has also been given the option of continuing to access NIRA services via their online platforms.
This announcement only applies to citizens in Kampala. All other NIRA district offices across the country will continue to operate normally .
” Normal service to the public at the NIRA head office will resume on Monday, 23rd August,2021,” NIRA revealed.
