Brig Gen Felix Kulaigye is the new Uganda People’s Defense Forces spokesperson, the army has announced. Through a statement dated February 4, the army said Kulaigye’s appointment was to take immediate effect.
Kulaigye replaces Brig-Gen Flavia Byekwaso who was sent for studies at National Defence College Uganda months ago.
Kulaigye served in the same capacity between 2005-2013. He has previously served as the UPDF representative in the 10th parliament, and also the Chief Political Commissar.
Upon receiving news of his appointment, Kulaigye said, “Yes it’s true I have been appointed the Defence Spokesperson and I want to thank the CIC for yet again entrusting me with this opportunity to serve the army.”
