National Unity Platform leader Bobi Wine real name Robert Kyagulanyi has shown his solidarity with Kizza Besigye who is currently under house arrest.
Besigye was arrested five days ago while he was moving to town to protest the current high cost of living. He has since not been allowed to leave his house.
In a message, Bobi says although his camp has differences with Besigye, “they stand in solidarity with him.”
“While our camps may have differences in how we approach the question of what strategies and methods we should use to dislodge the Museveni dictatorship, please know that we do hold you in very high esteem.
The differences in our respective political approaches have not blinded us to the honour, fortitude and commitment with which you have gone about resisting oppression. Pole sana “
Besigye recently protested the continued house arrest and asked the police to withdraw its men and women from his home.
