Bobi Wine Meets Jacob Oulanyah’s Father in Omoro
During the weekend, National Unity Platform leader Robert Kyagulanyi commonly known as Bobi Wine visited mzee Nathan Okori in Lalogi, Omoro district, the father of former Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah who succumbed to cancer. Bobi who did not attend the burial said he went to pay his respects and to condole with the family of Oulanyah.
“I delivered my condolences upon the death of his son, the late Rt. Hon. Jacob L’Okori Oulanya. I also laid a wreath on the grave of the fallen Speaker. Grateful to the area RDC Onyuk Andrew (in yellow shirt) who warmly welcomed and escorted us around,” he said of his visit.
Mzee Okori said at the burial of Oulanyah that his son had been poisoned contrary to the revelation of the government that the former Speaker had died due to cancer complications.
According to local newspaper, Daily Monitor, Bobi Wine wants government to investigate the poison claims.
“I went there to pay tribute to the late Jacob but also condole with the family. I did not want to sound insensitive to him but his message of poisoning his son has been loud and clear, so we ask that let the investigations be done faster,” Bobi Wine is quoted to having said in an interview with the newspaper.
