Davido’s son Ifeanyi Reported Dead After Drowning
Nigerian music star, Davido and his wife, Chioma Rowland lost their son Ifeanyi on monday.
According to several reports, the three-year-old drowned at is father’s swimming pool situated in the Banana Island area of Lagos State and is said to have been underwater for a very long time before being spotted.
Ifeanyi was later rushed to evencare hospital in Lekki where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
When this tragic incident was taking place, the parents of the boy are reported to have traveled for a family gathering to Ibadan and left their son in the care of his nannies.
Today, the Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the incident and revealed how 8 domestic workers of Davido have been brought in for questioning to explain how the deceased entered the pool and drowned without anybody noticing.
According to the Lagos State Police Public Relations officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, the domestic workers narrations would assist the authorities in ascertaining the circumstances surrounding the death of Davido ‘s son.
He however said, anyone found not guilty would be released immediately and those found guilty of negligence would be detained to assist in the ongoing investigations.
“About 8 of them were brought in to narrate their version of what happened to assist us in getting what really happened.
At the end of the narrations, whoever that is found not guilty of negligence or not culpable in anyway will be allowed to go.
Anybody found culpable will stay back to assist us in further investigation,” said Hundeyin.
As the news about the death of Davido ‘s son make rounds, an official statement from the family has not yet been released to confirm the sad news.

According to some Nigerian sources, an inconsolable Davido was removed from Evercare Hospital after receiving the bad news and taken to his father’s house where he remains as at press time.
Fans and fellow celebrations have since flocked several social media networks sharing their sympathy and condolesce to the family.
One fan wrote on twitter, ”Little coffins are the heaviest to carry. My thoughts are with Davido.”
Another added, ” We love you Davido, we are praying for your family. We wait to hear from you, till then we are praying for you and your family.”
Steflon Don wrote, ”Prayers up for Chioma and Davido”
