Uganda Musicians Association Postpones Voting of New Leaders

The Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) Electoral Commission Committee has announced that elections for new leaders will not happen this week as earlier scheduled.

According to a statement released at the weekend, the election has been pushed two weeks forward to allow the committee to educate musicians about the voting process. Elections are due to be conducted digitally although some contestants disagree with the mode.

Geoffrey Ekongot, the Chairman Uganda Musicians’ Association says they received advice from the association policy board to push the process forward.

The election is slated for 6th June
