Nigerian singer, Rema also known as Divine Ikubor and Kenya’s Sauti sol will perform at this week’s 3-day Afropalooza festival that will start on Friday 7th – the 9th of October at the Lugogo Cricket Oval.
Organised by Talent Africa Group, Afropalooza joins the line of continental music festivals with a focus on showcasing Uganda to the world and this year’s edition is a mega celebration of Uganda’s 60 years of Independence.
The festival will bring together thousands of Ugandans and tourists from all over the world to Kampala for an epic weekend of arts, culture, food, dance, music and entertainment. The event will also showcase more than 60 Ugandan entertainers including bands, artists, DJs, comedians, dance troupes and much more.
This year’s debut edition will majorly highlight the journey that the music industry has gone through over the past 6 decades.
Artists you can look forwaard to seein perfrom at the festival include Maddox Sematimba, Cindy, Spice Diana, Navio, Lilian Mbabazi, The Mith, Ragga Dee, Beenie Gunter, Sandra Nansambu, DJ Zato, Janzi Band and many more others.
Kenyan sensation Sauti sol – known for major hits like Suzanna, sura yako among others – have also confirmed their presence at the festival writing on twitter.
Each day of the festival’s production will convey a unique story of Uganda musical jounrey.
