Ray G to Hold  His First Central Concert This Saturday

Western Uganda’s biggest music export, Reagan Muhairwe popularly known as Ray G is set to hold a concert for his Kampala fans this Saturday, October 29,2022 at Imperial Royale Hotel.

Ray G revealed this during a Monday Press conference held at Silk Events offices in Bugolobi, Kampala.

“This time round, I decided to sing for my people ( fans) who live in this area ( Kampala). This will be an Indoor show with Silk Events on production,” he revealed to the press.

This comes after the Western based singer held a successful concert this year on 20th August in Mbarara.

The ‘ Omusheshe’  further explained that in comparison to his successful Mbarara concert which boost of many sponsors, unfortunately for Kampala they are few( Galaxy FM, NTV and Comedy Store) because the concert is being organized at short notice.

“You know when you are testing the depth of a river or any water body, you don’t put in both legs. So, this will be our first show before the main show later on. It was rushed ( planned in a matter of weeks) but we said, we must do it this year,” he said.

To organize this show at short notice, Ray G approached Comedy Store Boss, Alex Muhangi  to partner with him.

The Comedy Store Boss revealed that after a few negotiations, he saw the show being possible and a successful one at that.

“I have done this before especially for comedians. Many comedians approach me and say they want to stage a show or ask us to partner and see how we can help them. That was the same with Ray G,” Muhangi revealed.

Ray G will  supported by artists from western Uganda such as Lady Mariam of the  ‘Tindatine’ hit song, T Paul, Omega 256 and Truth 256.

Central artists also slated for the concert include; Spice Diana, Eddy Kenzi, Levixone, Ykee Benda, Aziz Azion, Zex Bilangilangi plus comedians such as Mc Mariachi, Maulana and Reign.
