Popular vlogger Ibrahim Tusubira, also known as Isma Olaxes or Jaja Iculi, has been shot dead by unknown gunmen in Kyanja.
It still remains unclear as to why the gunmen took his life.
Gabriel Buule- a journalist, shared on Twitter that the self styled blogger was killed as he entered his house. He adds that eyewitnesses at the scene revealed that the shooters were riding a motocycle.
Isma Olaxes recently posted a video celebrating the death of Minister Charles Okello Engola, accusing him of failing to take care of his workers. He had criticized Engola in the past for causing the arrest of Ugandan citizens and falsely claiming that the UPDF personnel captured on video were from West Africa.
The Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire shared that the unidentified gunman who where armed with an SMG gun opened fire on the vehicle, resulting in the fatal shooting Isma, who at the time of the attack was seated in the passenger seat.
He added that, “The area has been cordoned off to ensure the safety of the public and to facilitate the ongoing investigation process. We assure the public that every effort is being made to bring the perpetrators to justice and provide answers to this senseless act of violence.”
