Breaking: Rapper Takeoff Reportedly Shot To Death Over a Game of Dice

Twitter is abuzz with one user claiming that rapper Takeoff has been fatally shot in Houston. The 28-year-old had reportedly been attending an event in Downtown, Houston where the incident is supposed to have taken place, leaving fans in utter disbelief.

One Twitter user, who goes by the username ‘@SaycheeseDGTL’ wrote, “Multiple Houston promoters are claiming they allegedly saw Takeoff get shot & killed at an event.” They also shared a location marker where the rapper was allegedly shot dead. The image points to 1200 Polk St. Downtown, Houston.

The screengrab features an alert that reads, “Person Fatally Shot.” The person making the original claims took to Twitter once more, and “confirmed” that Takeoff was dead. “RIP Takeoff. A close source confirmed to us it was over a dice game in Houston,” read the tweet, indicating that the apparent cause of death was a fatal shot over a game of dice.

Another Twitter user posted an image, claiming the shooting happened “right in front” of her. The photograph shows a group of onlookers huddled close by, peering over to look at something in front of them. The person wrote, “This happened right in front of me!!! This is the last picture I took while standing right in front of everyone.”

However, fans of the rapper refused to believe the rumors and have taken to social media to voice their bewilderment. “Is this stuff about takeoff true??” questions one user, echoing the sentiments of fans across the globe. “Bruh why the streets saying Takeoff been shot in Houston? Wtf?” asks another. Others cannot believe that Takeoff, who is best known as a member of Migos was shot over a game of dice. “Wtf Takeoff died over a dice game?????” reads a tweet, with someone echoing, “Oh s**t takeoff died say swear whewww over a dice game ik everybody sleep rn but when y’all wake up dam that’s tough.”

Another person has come forward with an uncanny coincidence. “Takeoff posted a pic to his story with the song “stop breathing” lyrics on the screen a few hours ago… now reports saying he was shot and killed. i’m not sure if it’s true yet but this is why you have to be careful what words you speak onto yourself/ the energy you surrounded by,” reads the tweet by the fan.

Kirshnik Khari Ball, who adopted the stage name Takeoff, is a rapper best known for his contributions to hip-hop as a member of the trio Migos, along with his uncle Quavo and Offset, who is his first cousin once removed.
